SLIM
SLIM stands for Systems, Leadership, Integration, and Management. The Committee intends to expose P&S students to the broader issues that affect the delivery of effective and appropriate healthcare globally including access, quality, safety, cost and payments. The SLIM Committee is a student-led working group that has a direct line to the Fundamentals in Clinical Medicine course directors in order to improve the medical school curriculum. It also hosts events and speakers to broaden the worldview of students as well as connect students with residents at New York Presbyterian Hospital to promote quality improvement projects.
